Story Behind the Famous ‘Viagra’

Today everybody is familiar with the word ‘Viagra’. Viagra is a medicine, famous world wide for its effects. It is basically used for erection during sexual activities. It is famous as the name Viagra, but its original name is sildenafil citrate and Viagra is just a brand name. It is used to treat a disorder called as erectile dysfunction, ED for short. It is available in many dosages though one can buy it only with doctor’s prescription.
Originally this medicine was not used to treat that it treats now.
In beginning it was designed to treat angina pectoris, kind of heart disease. But this medicine did not show the required results, rather it had a side effect, due to which it induced erection in those on whom it was tested. This medicine became the hot shot in the market, as soon as it was launched. Many men complain about ED and this medicine was like blessing for them. ED is a common disorder in many men due to many factors. But Viagra not comes without side effects. Some of them are headache; sweating, flushing and stomach upset, and in some cases blurred vision. It is advised to avoid Viagra if you are a heart patient or have very high blood pressure problem. It is good to consult a qualified doctor before consuming this medicine.
